In times of uncertain world home and abroad,
Korea Customs will put in place proper administrative measures to revive the economy and export.
We will also make necessary procedures for domestic petroleum products to be entered into bonded area, blended and exported to foreign countries to open the export market and establish oil hub in Northeast Asia.
To galvanize the tourism and duty-free industry, Korea Duty-Free Festivals will be hosted and temporary policies will be resumed which were conducted during the COVID-19 to seek sustainable growth for duty-free industry tailored to the needs of the market.
Regulations will be mitigated on patent bonded area, the number of imported goods in bonded storage will be increased. Voluntary management on domestic goods by authorized economic operators will be carried out. Logistics regulations will be reengineered to improve the efficiency of customs services and conveniences of companies.
The duty-free allowance on a traveler’s personal effects such as perfumes and alcohols will be properly adjusted. We will also create an enabling environment for items directly purchased from overseas by improving verification scheme of Personal Customs Clearance Code.
To address the rising number of e-commerce cargo, we will raise the standard amount of simple export declaration and foster innovation in regulations and tax support measures.
